What makes this dark blend so unique is our use of chicory (the roasted root of Endive). After the French Civil War, chicory made its way to New Orleans where it was found to soften the bitterness of dark, French roasts.
We recommend serving this coffee as an Au Lait (half coffee, half steamed milk), but let your imagination guide you in discovering the possibilities.
